Warranty Policy

Last updated: April 12, 2026

All tires sold by NorthTires are brand new and covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We help you understand your warranty coverage and how to make a claim.

Manufacturer Warranty

All tires sold through NorthTires are new and carry the manufacturer's standard warranty. Warranty coverage, terms, and duration vary by brand and product. Please refer to the documentation included with your tires or the manufacturer's website for specific warranty details.

What Is Typically Covered

Most manufacturer warranties cover:

  • Defects in materials and workmanship
  • Premature wear (subject to conditions and treadwear warranty limits)
  • Structural defects that affect the safety or performance of the tire

What Is Not Covered

Manufacturer warranties typically do not cover:

  • Damage caused by road hazards (nails, potholes, curbs, etc.)
  • Improper installation or mounting
  • Incorrect inflation (over or under-inflated tires)
  • Damage resulting from improper vehicle alignment or mechanical issues
  • Tires used in racing or off-road conditions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  • Contact us at info@northtires.ca with your order number, tire brand and model, and a description of the issue
  • Provide photos of the defect where possible
  • Our team will review your claim and coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf
  • The manufacturer will inspect the tire and determine eligibility for warranty coverage
  • Approved claims may result in a replacement tire, pro-rated credit, or refund at the manufacturer's discretion

Road Hazard Protection

Standard manufacturer warranties do not cover road hazard damage (e.g., punctures, cuts, impact breaks). If you are concerned about road hazard protection, we recommend asking about road hazard warranty add-ons at the time of installation at your local tire shop.

Tips to Maintain Your Warranty

  • Have tires installed by a certified tire technician
  • Maintain proper inflation as specified by your vehicle manufacturer
  • Rotate tires every 8,000–12,000 km
  • Ensure proper wheel alignment and balancing
  • Keep purchase documentation (order confirmation) as proof of purchase
